Managed OpenClaw hosting — FAQ
Straight answers about managed OpenClaw hosting with ClawNode — pricing, keys, trials, and how we compare to doing it yourself.
What is managed OpenClaw hosting?
Managed OpenClaw hosting means a provider runs the server, installs OpenClaw, and keeps it online. You use your AI from chat apps without managing Linux, Docker, or updates yourself. ClawNode gives each customer a dedicated VPS with OpenClaw pre-configured.
Does my subscription include LLM or API costs?
No. ClawNode covers the server and platform. You add your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or compatible API keys on your instance. You pay those providers directly for tokens — set budgets and limits in their consoles to avoid surprise bills.
Is my data on a shared server with other customers?
No. Each active subscription is provisioned on its own dedicated virtual machine. Your data is not co-mingled with other tenants on the same host in the way shared-container plans often are.
How does ClawNode compare to self-hosting OpenClaw?
Self-hosting means you rent a VPS, install dependencies, harden SSH, and maintain updates yourself. ClawNode automates provisioning and operations so you skip most of that work. You still own your API keys and channel setup.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. We offer a 3-day free trial. See the pricing page for current amounts in USD.
Which messaging channels are supported?
You can connect channels such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord. Exact steps are in our setup guides after your instance is ready.
Where is my data stored?
Your instance runs on infrastructure we provision (e.g. cloud regions available at signup). You can read how we handle account and instance data in our Privacy Policy.
