Roadmap
We're focused on making OpenClaw hosting fast, reliable, and simple. We're next working on pre-deploying so new users get faster deploys.
First priority: faster deploys
Today, provisioning a new instance can take several minutes - server spin-up, install, and config. That delay affects time-to-first-message and the first impression new users get.
Our planned approach: pre-deploying
We plan to pre-deploy capacity in some cases to cut that wait:
- We would keep a small pool of pre-provisioned instances (or pre-warmed capacity) in regions we use.
- When a new subscriber signs up (or triggers deploy), we would assign from that pool when possible instead of starting from zero.
- "In some cases" would mean when demand and capacity allow (e.g. region, plan type). Not every deploy would hit a pre-deployed instance, but a portion would and see much shorter deploy times.
Benefits: quicker time-to-value, a better first impression, and the ability to scale the approach as we grow - more regions, Mac later, and beyond.
What's next
- Pre-deploying – building the pool and assignment flow (we'll work on this next)
- More regions – expand pre-deploy coverage
- Mac plan - iOS integrations, Shortcuts, and the Apple ecosystem
- Faster channel setup - smoother WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord onboarding
